1. Loukoumades

You’ve probably heard that “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Well, those who live in Greece definitely stick to this rule! One of their favorite things to eat in the morning is Loukoumades – little doughy balls. You know what’s even better? To pour a special syrup made of water, sugar, cinnamon, honey and lemon zest on top! Yummy!

2. Gigantes beans

When it comes to appetizers, Greeks can tell you a lot! A very typical one is the famous Gigantes beans. Do you get where the name comes from? This bean sort is so big that some people can use it even as a main course. It’s usually cooked in tomato sauce, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, pepper and thyme.
