First of all, whisk the yolks with the sugar. The egg whites leave for the final touch! When the yolks start turning whiteish, add the oil and the yoghurt, mixed with the soda. Stir well.
Mix flour with baking powder and gradually add it to the mixture. Hey, don’t stop stirring! In the end it’s time for the vanilla and orange zest.
Take a large baking tin, grease and flour it and pour the mixture. Bake at 200C° for around 40-50 minutes.
Of course, make sure to check if it’s ready using a tooth stick. After all, each oven is different!
When the dessert is ready, take it out of the oven and spread the whole orange fruit preserve on top. It should take all of the heat.
While it’s cooling, whisk the egg whites with 8 tablespoons of sugar. Then spread evenly on the very top. If you like, you can bake for 5 additional minutes, just for the egg whites to turn golden. Of course, that’s up to you!
