Milk thistle 55g
This fairly typical thistle has red to purple flowers and shiny pale green leaves with white veins. Originally a native of Southern Europe through to Asia, it is now found throughout the world.
The beneficial effect of milk thistle was already known more than 2,000 years ago. Milk thistle comes from the Mediterranean, from where it spread throughout Europe. In Poland, it is grown for medicinal purposes on a large scale, but until now knowledge about how to eat milk thistle was not common and limited to homeopaths and bioenergotherapists. Fortunately, this has changed, and milk thistle can be bought in health food stores.
