Metaxa Five Star is a Greek brandy and was discovered in 1888 by Spyros Metaxa. He was a distiller who had a love for wine and brandy. To create Metaxa Five Star, Spyros started by blending the finest matured wine distillates he could get his hands on with the selected sun soaked grapes from Attica. This is then matured in oak casks for 5 years with selected aged Muscat wines and a secret mix of herbs. Once the maturation is over, the spirit is ready to be filtered and then enjoyed.
